A recognisable logo is not enough. A file needs a stable official source, a named legal entity or corporate relationship, a dated domain check and a New Zealand status comparison. Overseas licences are recorded under their own jurisdiction. Marketing phrases such as safe, legal or trusted are not treated as regulator findings.
What amber means during transition
Amber marks an open local-status question. It does not mean the brand is fraudulent, and it does not endorse the operator. A future DIA register match could support a stronger result. An official warning, entity mismatch or documented adverse record could support a weaker one. Familiarity, access and anonymous reviews cannot change the signal alone.
Check the date before acting
New Zealand moved into a statutory transition in 2026, with licences expected from early 2027. Provider classes and restrictions change at defined dates. Save the official source and access date, then compare the legal entity, brand and exact hostname. An application or auction right is not a licence.
